This one is special.
I have ownership of a project management and
development firm and this was our first
independent project.
The main architectural aim was to design a building
which is in harmony with the situated landscape, built
of natural and sustainable materials and causes the
least damage to its surrounded enviroment.
The situation of the building and the form of it avoids
all the flamboyant and didactic design methods.
The wooden plank frame structure built on site and
fit for 2 person contains a living and a bed area
surrounding the bathroom which is in the centre of
the building.
The beam grid substructure is lifted from the ground
and lean on steel ground screws. This method was
the sloution to minimalize the ground work and
damage on the environment.
The facade is covered with wooden boards combined
with natural and ’shou sugi ban’ treated wood. The
roof is covered with steel trapezoidal sheets.
